I am a Level 2 ECE and have completed my ECE diploma at Heritage college. I have been working in child care field for 12 years. 

I have been working as an ECE for 3.5 years. I am currently working towards my level 1 ECE and will be finished by June 2022.

Sheila has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2014, and operated a home child care for over 5 years when her own children were younger. She is currently an ECE Level 3, working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education and Development which will support creating and maintaining a high quality of programming for the staff and children.

Skylar has been excelling as an Early Childhood Educator in the school age room as well as preschool classes since joining Lab West Child Care Centre in 2021. She is an ECE Level 1 with a passion for teaching children using creative and exciting programming that enhances learning through play.

Shantel has been working in Early Childhood Education since 2018. She has worked in various roles including inclusion support, homeroom support and now as a full time preschool educator. She has completed her Level 1 ECE certification and continues to be an educator in our preschool and toddler homerooms maintaining a quality environment for positive behaviour guidance.

Krista has been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2013. She is an ECE Level 2 educator in our toddler room and brings lots of experience and expertise to our program. Her gentle and consistent approach to positive behaviour guidance, supports the wholistic development of our youngest children. Her passion and experience is an asset to the toddler program, as well as mentoring staff who are upgrading their certifications.

Trina is a Level 2 ECE that has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 10 years combined. She is currently working in our toddler room and is bringing her wealth of knowledge into supporting the learning of our youngest children. Her background with preschool programming is an asset to our team and everyone benefits from her shared strategies.

Sarah has been an educator since 2022 and is currently working towards her Level I ECE. She spends her time with our oldest school aged children but will offer supports in the preschool program as well. Sarah’s joyful nature is an asset to our team and the children thrive under her care. Her unique and diverse programming allow the children to learn and experience the world through a dedicated approach to positive behaviour guidance.

Charlene is an ECE Level 3 who has been working in the field since 2019 and has been in various roles teaching and supporting children. She started as inclusion support and has become one of our most valued school aged teachers. Charlene brings a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to the children in her homeroom while providing a diverse and inclusive view on a global scale with a calm and nurturing elegance.

Tia is an ECE Level 1 who has been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2018 in various roles. Her current role is that of a preschool teacher and mentor for new staff as she excels with positive behaviour guidance strategies. Tia brings a fun and creative viewpoint to the programming that enhances learning through play for the children in her care.

Kim is one of our newest educators that joined our team in 2025. She is working towards her ECE Level 1 and can be found in our school aged rooms providing quality programming to the children in her care.  Kim has a natural ability to teach the children and uses her calm disposition to encourage children to explore their learning environment with grace and kindness.

As an ECE Level 3, Kristen joined our team in 2024 but has additional experience working in the Early Childhood Education field. Her creative and imaginative programming creates a learning environment for our preschool children where they explore with a sense of wonder and excitement. Her passion for creative learning activities help to support early learning and development while providing a fun atmosphere for the children.
